State Second Pre-Election & Federal Pre-General Reports are DUE 10/24

State PACs
The upcoming second pre-election report is due on Thursday, October 24th, which will cover the period through Saturday, October 19th.
Key Triggers for Filing:
- Reports are automatically required for committees primarily formed to support or oppose candidates or measures on the November 5th ballot.
- State candidates not on the ballot must file if they make contributions or independent expenditures of $500 or more related to the November election.
- State and county general purpose committees must also file if they contribute or spend $500 or more in connection with the November election.
- City general purpose committees are required to file if they make contributions or independent expenditures of $500 or more to other city committees or in relation to candidates or measures on the ballot.
Federal PACs
The upcoming pre-general report is due on Thursday, October 24th, which will cover the period through Wednesday, October 16th. This report is required for any federal PAC with previously unreported activity supporting candidates appearing on the general election ballot on November 5th.
